Now Open in Saskatoon!
Please reach out to us at Support@DriveKGo.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We specialize in the transportation of kids ages 5 to 17, and we are available 7 days a week from 6:30am to 10:00pm. We know that many family activities are during this time period.
We are a reservation or 'pre-book' ride service, so to ensure that K-Go drivers have enough time to review rides that are available to them:
We are working to adjust these options over time.
(1.5.2023)
Currently, we serve Saskatoon and will expand across Canada. When you set a K-Go account (called a Guardian account) you enter your address into the K-Go app, and it will verify that we operate in your area. We transport kids wherever they need to go in the cities in which we operate; to school, to afterschool activities like hockey, swimming or dance class.
(1.5.2023)
You can use K-Go whenever you need help getting your kids safely and securely from one location to another when you are not able to drive them yourself. You can also use K-Go whenever you need to carpool with other families. Guardians can invite other families to participate in a K-Go carpool when kids from multiple families need to go to or be picked up from the same location.
(1.5.2023)
We specialize in the transport of kids ages 5 to 17 and our K-Go Driver Community is dedicated to ensuring that your children make it from point A to point B safely and securely. Our K-Go Drivers are screened by a 3rd party (driving check, background checks including a vulnerable sector check), we prioritize those with specialized skills like childcare, first aid and CPR, and we train our K-Go Drivers to create the best experiences for kids and ensure their safety and comfort from pick up to drop off.
Our cars must meet a high standard of cleanliness (little fingers like touching everything!) and our K-Go Drivers ensure everyone is always buckled up.
We also provide the option for multiple families to create carpools to get their kids to and from sports practices, school, activities, or events.
Unlike other transportation companies, we don’t have surge pricing during busy times and we provide discounts for multi-family (carpool) rides. With so many activities and competing family schedules, we aim to bridge the gap between busy parents and active kids, by removing the time and logistics pressures that so many families experience.
(1.5.2023)
Click from our website homepage or search for the K-Go app on the App Store or Google Play. Set up a K-Go account, add your Rider’s information and the K-Go App will guide you to make a single family ride or carpool booking.
(1.5.2023)
We have a "booking window" for all rides. K-Go is not an on-demand service, but rather a reservation or pre-booking service enabling pick ups in the future (but as soon as 45 minutes when needed).
K-Go Drivers need enough time to review rides, which is why our booking policy requires morning rides be booked by 7pm the night before and rides after 10:00am be requested four hours in advance. You can also plan repeat or recurring trips or single family, as well as multi-family carpools, up to three weeks in advance.
We're continually improving our options so that customers get the best experience possible.
(1.5.2023)
After creating a K-Go account, including adding emergency contact information, you must add the name and birthdate of your Rider(s) and enter their photo(s) and a secret code word.
You will be able to SCHEDULE A SINGLE FAMILY RIDE (for your kids) or SCHEDULE A CARPOOL (for your kid(s) and other families) and specify the time of pick up and even schedule recurring rides.
(1.5.2023)
PRE-BOOKED RIDES:
These fees are shared with the K-Go Drivers as they have cleared their schedule for these pre-booked rides.
RIDES SCHEDULED IMMEDIATELY (45 MINUTES MINIMUM):
K-Go allows you to cancel a ride before and after you've been matched to a K-Go Driver, but it comes with the risk of being charged a $8 cancellation fee. You can avoid being charged a $8 cancellation fee by cancelling your ride within 5 minutes of a K-Go Driver accepting your ride request.
NO SHOWS – 100% of fare will be charged.
(3.21.2023)
At K-Go, we prioritize Rider safety. That's why we use the Secret Code Word to verify that the right K-Go Driver has arrived.
When you create your Rider's profile, you'll have the opportunity to set a Secret Code Word. And don't worry—you can edit it at any time if needed. Please share this with your child so they know what to tell their Driver when asked.
(1.5.2023)
You can pre-book rides 21 days in advance for your kid(s) or for a multi-family carpool. We will work to adjust this timing in the future for longer term bookings.
(1.5.2023)
Yes, you can book a carpool ride with multiple children that are not from your family.
At K-Go, a carpool ride is any ride where there are multiple Riders from different families who have different Guardians.
When you set up a ride (or recurring ride series) you can choose SCHEDULE A SINGLE FAMILY RIDE (for your kids) or SCHEDULE A CARPOOL (for your kid(s) and other families). We need permission from each of the other children’s Guardians to drive them.
We cannot pick-up extra children without these rides being scheduled as carpool rides in our system. To do this, you'll need to know the families you carpool with and be able to select them from your ”Contacts” in your phone.
(1.5.2023)
This is dependent on the size of the car requested and the amount of luggage space required (hockey bag space etc.). Typically, 5 kids are the maximum number for carpools in large vehicles.
(1.5.2023)
K-Go provides the opportunity to request a carpool as soon as 2 hours in the future as long as they originate at the same location and all Riders are already registered in the K-Go system. Other Guardians must also approve the carpool at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled pick up. The Riders can be dropped off at the same location or you may choose different destinations.
(1.5.2023)
In the K-Go app, you are able to pre-book a carpool, which we define as a ride with your kid(s) and other Riders, up to 21 days in advance. Remember, all Riders must have at least one location in common: they must either be picked up from the same place, dropped off at the same place, or be picked up and dropped off at the same place.
Recurring rides can also be created on a daily or weekly basis depending on what works best for your family.
(1.5.2023)
Once your ride is complete, your credit card on file in the K-Go app will be charged. K-Go pricing is based on both time and mileage. Before you book your ride, you’ll be able to see an estimated cost for the ride.
Within the K-Go App, you can update or add your credit card information.
(1.5.2023)
Our service is specially designed for kids 5 - 17 years old, but we know sometimes we all families need a little help when transportation and logistics are complicated. We are happy to transport moms and their new babies or grandparents with their little ones or dads that need to take a child to the dentist, etc. Please call us at 1-639-398-4481 (Saskatoon local) to make these special arrangements. These types of rides cannot be booked in the K-Go app.
(1.5.2023)
We do not provide car seats, however, our K-Go app allows you to request a booster seat(s). Drivers will have 2 basic booster seats available in their car for children that are 7 years or younger, OR under 36 kg (80 lbs) AND under 145cm (4’9”) tall.
If your child requires a car seat, the guardian must install the car seat in the K-Go car upon pickup. There are no exceptions. The K-Go Driver will remove the car seat on drop off and will leave it with the Rider at his/her destination.
We follow the federal Motor Vehicle Safety Act and Canadian Provincial and Territorial Legislation for child passenger car safety requirements.
(1.5.2023)
We remind Guardians of the ride logistics through pop up notifications on your phone, 12 hours before a pre-booked ride, and/or 30 minutes before the ride’s start time. If you pre-book a ride within 12 hours of a pickup time, you will only receive a 30-minute notification. You can also always check the status of your ride in your K-Go App.
(1.5.2023)
For recurring rides (daily, weekly, bi-weekly) you can request the same Driver by emailing us at support@drivekgo.ca. At present, this cannot be requested in the K-Go app. We cannot guarantee that your preferred K-Go Driver is available when you make a booking as our Drivers manage their own schedules.
(1.5.2023)
Yes, upon the Rider being secured in the K-Go Driver’s vehicle, the Guardian will be notified (through an in-App notification) that the ride has started.
(1.5.2023)
Our K-Go Drivers will do exactly what you would do. They will follow any pick-up or drop off instructions that you define. In the K-Go app, you are required to leave a short note (or as detailed as you want!) about your pick-up and drop off locations.
For example, you can tell your K-Go Driver:
Our K-Go Drivers provide a simple and convenient way for your Riders to be picked-up and dropped off quickly and seamlessly.
(1.5.2023)
You will be able to define where your K-Go Driver meets your Rider. If you choose for your K-Go Driver to go into a school, they can meet your Rider at the sign-out location, follow K-Go identification procedures and walk your Rider to the car.
TO IDENTIFY THE K-GO DRIVER, YOUR RIDER WILL:
TO IDENTIFY YOUR RIDER:
When a ride is complete, the information about your Rider and their pick up and drop off addresses will no longer be available to the K-Go Driver.
(1.5.2023)
Yes, upon the Rider being secured in the K-Go Driver’s vehicle, the Guardian will be notified (through an in-App notification) that the ride has started.
(1.5.2023)
Guardians can watch ride progress on map in the K-Go app in real time.
(1.5.2023)
When you are scheduling a K-Go ride, we give you the opportunity to tell your K-Go Driver exactly what you’d like them to do at pick-up and drop-off. This is the way to make the ride as smooth as possible for your Rider. You can add pick-up and drop off notes while you are scheduling a ride, or you can edit these notes after the ride has been scheduled.

Please contact us at the K-Go Support Line at 1-639-398-4481 and we will reach out to the K-Go Driver to try to facilitate delivery of the item.
(1.5.2023)
Unfortunately, we were not able to fulfill your request based on our Drivers available at that time.
(1.5.2023)
In Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commission of Canada (OPC) has consistently viewed personal information related to youth and children as being particularly sensitive and must be handled accordingly.
It is K-Go’s policy that our Drivers do not use inward-facing dashboard or phone cameras or take pictures of our Riders or record any conversation or experience during a K-Go ride or while using the K-Go app. We do this to ensure that the privacy rights of K-Go users are protected. Further, we do not permit our Riders to photograph or video our K-Go Drivers without their consent.
(1.5.2023)
K-Go ride pricing is based on estimated mileage, actual time, the number of families participating, a small booking fee, and local operating fees (rideshare surcharge) in cities, municipalities or provinces that require them. We base our mileage estimates on Google Maps and billing begins when the ride starts or at the scheduled start time (whichever happens first) and ends after the Rider is safely dropped off. If you schedule rides with complicated pick-up or drop off notes or ask your K-Go Driver to wait, it may add time to your ride and subsequently increase the cost of the ride. Refunds will not be provided for variations on the estimate fare provided when you book your ride.
You will receive a fare estimate in the K-Go app upon scheduling the ride. While the Ride Fee is fixed based on the estimated time and distance at the time of booking, the fare estimate is subject to change depending on whether a wait fee is incurred or any other changes to the ride details occur between the time of booking and the completion of the ride. Your Ride Fees may also vary if you change your pick-up time after confirming your ride request.
Fares are quoted exclusive of GST.
(1.5.2023)
We have integrated Google Maps navigation into the K-Go app. We also base our fare estimates on Google Maps. This is intended to set the best expectations for the ride's time and mileage. However, this is just an estimate and can change based on traffic conditions on the day of the ride.
Google Maps will choose the "optimal" route for the K-Go Driver as the ride starts. It measures the best route based on time (faster) rather than mileage (shorter distance). Because of this, the route Google chooses may be longer in terms of mileage than some other routes.
(1.5.2023)
Log into your K-Go app and in the Profile section of the app, you can update your form of payment.
(1.5.2023)
Our billing begins when the ride starts or at the scheduled start time (whichever happens first). If your Rider is late, billing would begin at the scheduled start time.
(1.5.2023)
Family pricing is a considered a single ride. Carpool rides are more than one Rider from different families. As the number of Riders (from different families) increases, carpool discounts are applied.
(1.5.2023)
At present, you do not have the ability to tip K-Go Drivers in the K-Go app. In the future we may add this functionality.
(1.5.2023)
You are charged for the ride when the drop-off is complete and the K-Go Driver verifies in the app, that your Rider has been delivered to their destination safely. Your actual ride cost may differ from the estimated ride cost (that you received when making the booking) due to many variables such as traffic or wait time.
(1.5.2023)
When you receive notification of the ride completion, you will also be able to see the final charge for the ride in the K-Go app under, ‘My Rides’.
(1.5.2023)
K-Go only shares your personal information and family’s data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. For example: K-Go Drivers receive the name, photo and birthdate (if provided) of your Rider through the K-Go Driver app in order to verify their identity on pickup. This data remains within the K-Go platform and is not visible to a K-Go Driver after a ride is complete.
(1.5.2023)
K-Go Drivers can wait up to 15 min for pick-up. There is a time limit as it is likely your K-Go Driver have another pick-up scheduled. Your K-Go Driver will reference the “Pick-up Notes” page for any change in instructions. If the 15 min mark is approaching without a change, the K-Go Driver will first check in through the K-Go Driver Support line at 1-639-398-4480 and then the guardian(s) will be notified by (Phone, Text, Email). K-Go cannot guarantee that these circumstances will not incur extra charges.
(1.5.2023)
Yes. While filling out the required information upon signing up your family with K-Go, there is a section of emergency contact numbers. The #1 listed name being the first call that is made and then 2nd and 3rd contact preference. If the situation requires a call to authorities, the K-Go Driver will call them immediately. Our K-Go Support line is: 1-639-398-4481.
We have defined safety notification procedures for weather, accidents, injured Riders or Drivers, delayed pick-ups or delayed drop offs.
(1.5.2023)
If you must reach your Rider during a scheduled ride, please edit the drop off notes in the K-Go app. The K-Go Driver will follow our Code of Conduct which has a zero- tolerance policy related to talking or texting or using a mobile phone during a ride. Upon drop off, when the K-Go Driver has parked the car, the K-Go Driver will check the drop off notes to know the specific instructions that may have changed during the active ride. The Rider will then be informed of the Guardian’s need to reach them.
If a Rider has their own mobile device, guardians can contact their Rider directly.
(1.5.2023)
While it is highly unlikely the K-Go app would become unavailable in its entirety as it is monitored daily, the following actions would be taken: the ride would be completed as scheduled and immediate notification to the guardian(s) via email, text or direct phone call would be initiated by our K-Go Safe Ride Support Agents.
(1.5.2023)
As safety is our number one priority, we have an extensive Driver Certification and vetting process that starts with 3rd party background checks. Our Drivers must have no criminal records or sex offender records and must also meet the following requirements:
We also meet with each of our potential K-Go Drivers in person for an extensive personal interview. Following this, they are required to attend in-person K-Go Driver orientation and training. They are then certified to drive for K-Go.
(1.5.2023)
The K-Go app allows you to rate your Drivers following a ride. This allows us to continuously improve K-Go Driver quality so that we may provide the very best for your Riders and so that you love every K-Go Driver in our community.
We do not provide the ability to choose your favorite Driver at this time. We may introduce this feature in the future.
(1.5.2023)
At the end of every ride, you will have the opportunity to rate your K-Go Driver for 24 hours following the ride. We also welcome any feedback on any K-Go Driver at any time. You can email us at support@drivekgo.ca.
(1.5.2023)
Yes! We aim to be a trusted partner for all families in the markets in which K-Go operates.
(1.5.2023)
If your Rider has a collapsible wheelchair, it will fit in the trunk of most cars. When you request a ride in the K-Go app, please make note of this need in the pick-up comments so we can be sure to have the appropriate size vehicle scheduled for your Rider.
(1.5.2023)
As noted in our Terms of Service, you will be responsible for any damage caused by your Rider. A K-Go Driver will submit a claim to our K-Go Support Team and upon review of the damage claim, you will be notified of the damage by email and sent a statement of the estimated repair costs. After the repair has been completed, you will be charged for the damage.
(1.5.2023)
At K-Go, we understand that Guardians want to know who will be providing their children with rides. While it is not possible for Guardians to conduct interviews with our Driver partners, we have designed the K-Go app to include relevant K-Go Driver information such as qualifications, experience and a photo of the driver and their car. This is designed to provide comfort and assurance – so you can have peace of mind that your child's ride is in safe hands.
As part of our K-Go Driver Certification process, applicants must pass multiple background checks and we have personally interviewed (in person) and extensively trained each of our Drivers.
(1.5.2023)
Out of respect for our K-Go Drivers and their cars, to limit driving distractions, and prevention of allergic reactions, we do not permit food or drink to be consumed during a K-Go ride.
(1.5.2023)
If the Riders are from the same family, they are under one booking. If a friend is part of that ride, it is considered a carpool ride and must be booked and/or confirmed by a separate Guardian. Ride-alongs are strictly prohibited.
(1.5.2023)
Yes, K-Go Drivers will assist with the loading and unloading of equipment bags for the Riders. You should also put a note in the pick-up notes so our K-Go Drivers know this may be needed.
(1.5.2023)
Yes, K-Go Drivers will assist with seat belts to ensure Rider safety and security. A ride cannot be started unless a K-Go Driver verifies, in their Driver app, that all Riders are secured in the vehicle.
(1.5.2023)
K-Go has a set of identity checks for Driver and Riders.
(1.5.2023)
At K-Go, we do not allow pets to ride along unless they are a service animal. We will make reasonable accommodations for service or emotional support animals as required by both federal and local Canadian laws. Pets can be a distraction to the K-Go Driver and create a safety issue. Your Rider’s safety and comfort are our most important priorities.
(1.5.2023)
K-Go Drivers will enter pick-up confirmation when the ride has started through the K-Go App and enter drop off confirmation upon completion of drop off through the K-Go app.
Guardians will receive a notification verifying pickup or drop completion.
(1.5.2023)
Login into the K-Go app and find your booked Ride under ‘My Rides’, and you can cancel the ride. However, please be advised that we have cancellation fees that may apply.
(1.5.2023)
Yes, this can be done. However, the guardian of the additional Rider must already have an existing K-Go account to be added to an already booked and confirmed ride (to make it a carpool).
(1.5.2023)
Yes. Log into the K-Go app and you can remove a Rider. The pick-up time or drop off time will then be adjusted as well as the fare estimate. This change to the ride (remove a Rider) must be done more than 1 hour prior to a scheduled ride or a 100% no-show fee will be charged to the other Riders in the carpool.
(1.5.2023)
You can download the K-Go App in the App Store or in Google Play.
